WHAT IS HOMESCHOOLING?
Homeschooling refers to an alternative approach to education that takes place outside the traditional public or private school setting. The term home does not fully capture the dynamic nature of homeschooling, as learning often extends beyond the household into the community, environment, and various educational resources. Families who homeschool actively engage with their surroundings and collaborate with other homeschooling families to create a well-rounded learning experience.
At its core, homeschooling requires a dedicated commitment from a parent or guardian to oversee and guide their child’s or teen’s educational journey. Currently, nearly two million students in the country are engaged in homeschooling, reflecting its growing recognition as a viable and effective educational path.
